Ok guys cars been running great for the most part. About 2 weeks ago after driving for about an hour car started cutting out, Awful idle. I already have a hotcam kit but it made me sound like a had a huge cam.....but it would run like crap almost as if it was starving for fuel....I got ot a gas station through 10 bucks in it. Cleared right up. Didnt happen again for a week. Driving for a bit and bam out of no where. Car cutting out had to stay at higher rpm so it wouldnt die out on me. Got to a gas station a bam fixed again, All these times car was not low on gas. Happened last night after driving a bit. Went to gas station and it didnt fix it its still cutting out bad idle no power, crank and fires fine. Im leaning towards fuel pump going out. Opti is pretty new. Just wanted some input. Could my pump be overheating and when the gas hits it it cools it down? whats going on here? car is a 93 lt1 camaro brand new motor and parts. Fuel pump and filter unsure if ever changed havent had car too long. Ive had a fuel pump go out before and my car would take a while to start until it gave out all together.

 

The first course of action should be to check your fuel pressure with a fuel pressure test gauge.
