Voltage/Battery Gauge Problem??
The car in question is a 98 Z28. Just wondering if I have a problem with my voltage/battery gauge.
First concern: When car is shut off, needle drops and rests on piece of plastic (gavity factor) that wraps around steering column. Shouldn't the needle rest on zero ???? Am I getting an accurate overall gauge reading if this is occuring
Second concern: My voltage reading hovers around 14. Is this normal??
Thanks

You're in the 1993-1997 forum, but it does not really matter for this question.
The off position of the needle is of no concern. It can be anywhere. Your operating voltage of 14v is in the normal range and like what more people would like to see.
