Vats????? Need Answers Quick
car was running aboslutly perfectly... then i removed the stereo... now car won't run, turn the key... NOTHING not a light, ding, sound, nothing... as if the car didn't even have a battery connected to it
is that VATS?
or,,,,,,,???
how hard is it to get around the VATS?

First I would hook a multi-meter to your batt. and find out if it is just a coincidence that your batt. might be dead.
The by-pass the vatts you must pull apart under your steering console and place a resistor between the wires, its kinda a PITA. I would first check the battery then go ahead and check the resistance in the chip in your key.

headlights are out and sold
checked all the fuses inside and in the engine bay... they are all fine.
battery connection was mint.
resistors on BOTH keys are fine
i guess i'll have to jump start er' to see if it was the battery (probably)
so i guess my question is now...
would taking out the stereo and triggering the vats prevent the car from starting if there were no other problems anywhere?
