Please get rid of the ALL CAPS! No need to shout.

My website has info on bypassing the VATS as well as tons of posts in the General Tech forum.

The resistor bypass info for the key is on my site. #21 and 22 in the How To's. You can get resistors at Radio Shack. It's not something you are going to find at Summit or Jegs. You have to make it up, yourself. It might cost you about a dollar.

Re: Vats Bypass????????????

Hey Guys I am not hyjacking the thread but will this work on a 99 z28 also?

I want to fit an alarm that has remote start.

I have tested the pellet in my keys and they have a resistance of 885 ohms so I have code 4

So all I have to do is get a resistor thats is 887 ohms and unplug the connector and put the resistor in there?

Anything in the range of 852-942 should work. AFAIK the 1999 has the same type of VATS.

Re: Vats Bypass????????????

Thanks Shoebox.

I found a really good alarm install page on Brent Frankers web site.

http://www.bfranker.badz28.com/fbody/alarm.htm

It should help a novice alarm installer like me get over the other problem areas like RAP
( retained accessary power) for wiring in the keyless entry.
