Valve Springs Changed...
Any break in methods? I hear you have to heat cycle them. Thanks in advance.
Also the engine hasnt had oil in it for a long time (has been out of the car for 6+ months and was shipped from texas dry) ...Anything I need to do to prime the oil pump and ensure it has enough lubrication? I put the oil in from both sides..allowing the rockers to be soaked in it as I was pouring. Just looking for things to make my life easier.
LOL
Thanks

Re: Valve Springs Changed...
i thought i read on comps website something about cycling them too. where you keep them under 2500 rpms and let the motor hit op temps. then let it cool and repeat. once more maybe. i dunno maybe i dreamed it up bit i think i remember seeing that.
Re: Valve Springs Changed...
yea there is some degree of break in needed. basicaly dont run it around hot for hours. its not realy that big of a deal. just run for a few short period of time let them heat and cool a few times and your good.
Re: Valve Springs Changed...
Ill probably drive it home, park...drive to my friends house..chill there for a while...maybe make a couple passes on 2nd st and head home again..should be good enough I think. thanks for the replies everyone.
