Re: Which Valve springs?

LT4 valve springs locks & retainers will work well, and they are cheap! (~$40)

Stock engine? I'd say you're a good candidate for Beehives. While you're at it, throw on a set of 1.6RR; either the Crane Golds or the Pro Magnums are fine. Both are in wide use and you can find lots of threads talking about both.

Re: Which Valve springs?

Are the GM Performance lt4 roller rockers the same exact ones as the
Crane Gold?

Unfortunetly I dont have the budget for RR's right now, do you have a part # for the beehives? and will they work with the stock RR's?

To tell you the truth if I were you I would just save up for a litttle while longer till you can affrod the rr's so you won't have to take the rockers of twice, saves a little work. The comp 918 springs are the beehives, as far as them working with stock rockers I have no idea.

Go with 918's cause if you ever do put RR's on, the LT4's are gonna be pushed to close to bind. They pretty much are close to their limit. And if you ever cammed it, they would be junk.

The LT4 springs are cheap even if you buy them from a dealer w/o a discount.
By the time you pay for shipping from gmpartsdirect you may find it's a wash.

PN is 12551483 (Valve Spring "LT4-ZZ4")
