Valve Spring ?

Im looking at getting 1:6 rockers for my car and first i was wondering if i should change the valvesprings as well. The motor has almost 100k on it and Im also getting hardend pushrods, so Im probably going to change the valvesprings as well. I was wondering if anyone knows or knows where i can find the specs on how tight to make the valvesprings. Also, how were the results of going to 1:6 rockers for those of you that have done this mod. Im doing all this with a stock cam as of now, so I might not get as big of a gain as those that have swapped cams out. Thanks in advance.

You can get away with just stock springs, but i would recomend just going with LT4 springs. They are cheap and ge the job done for most cams. If you want to rev higher and get a new cam in the future, i would get the comp 941 springs. They are sweet springs and do not require machining the heads. Im running those springs with a 306 cam and it runs like a beast straight up to 6500 rpm.

Stock cam w/ 1.6 is fine, but why do the job twice if you are doing a cam later.

Should net you about 8-10 rwhp with double roller rockers, even more if you get better springs to handle rpm.

No way I would put 1.6 rockers on a 100k engine and not change the valve springs, but that's just me.
