Valve question

If you take a look at this picture you can see that the valve on the right is sort of protruding more below the head surface than the one on the left, it's not obvious but I can see the difference with my eyes, is this something to be concerned about or not??

(the heads are used but have not been run anything yet after being ported, milled and new valves, not done by me.)

Thnx.

jonaddis84: They are 2.02"/1.60" valves, and it's the intake valve showing on the picture....

Some comments or thoughts would be appreciated..

Regards

Have you had those valve seats replaced for the larger 2.02 valves. The largest valve you can go and get to seat correctly on the stock head is going to be a 2.00. I'm thinking that's your problem, but I may be wrong.

NightTrain66 uses a machine shop that installs 2.02 1.60's on stock heads and would probably tell you who he uses.

Fastbird93: Yep, they should be.

FireAm94: ok....

I just wanted to know what you thought, seems cind of odd to me but I've never looked at a set of LT1 heads with valves and springs before so I couldn't compare and so on...

Thnx.
