Valve Covers, How much taller for T&D Shafts?

How much taller over stock do valve covers on an LT1 have to be in order to clear T&D shaft mount rockers? Any info appreciated, thanks,
Dan

Hi,

Just noticed your post. I have some of these on order.
Did you find anything out and what do you plan to do with your alternator?

Guys, you don't need much more height than the stock valve covers have to clear a shaft setup.

Check with B&B Fabrication ( 732 )364- 6700
They make a really nice aluminum cover that is 5/16" taller than stock. They also stock the passenger side cover with alternator clearance.
These covers cleared a Crower shaft setup on a C4 Corvette. The only problem I can see is maybe clearance along the inner sides of the cover. Not something that couldn't be fixed but some rockers that aren't profiled at the "tail" might have a problem. Of course Jesel offers tail-profiling as an option but the amount of actual clearance is going to vary brand to brand.

If you find you need a bit more height, gaskasinch a couple of cork gaskets together and maybe get longer bolts.

edit:
Flatlander Racing carries B&B's stuff.
