valve covers

Need advice. I have a 1995 pontiac formula with an lt1. I purchased 1.5 ratio comp cams pro magnum roller rockers. what valve cover do you guys run or recommend? the car is a 355 ci ati 12psi procharged car with 9:1 compression. The stock valve covers had a breather. are they necessary? Will 1.5 roller rockers clear stock valve covers? Thanks for the help

The 1.5's should clear the stock covers unless they are the shafted type. I have CC 1.6 rollers under stock covers and life is good. However i am switching to the LT4 "nail head" covers, plastic ones for looks and to help control a bit of the generated noise because of my valvetrain.

I found some valve covers in Jegs that I really liked, they were in the TPI/LT1/LS1 section, you could get them in black with a red bowtie symbol, or the chrome steel ones I got with a red bowtie symbol in the middle. They were $106.99 and they clear my 1.6RRs fine.

Keep in mind that you need those wonderful valve covers that are cleared for the alternator on the passenger side. I painted up my stockers with some gloss high-temp black enamel. They look pretty decent.

I got that and the question had already been answered. Just trying to make sure someone doesn't buy a set of valve covers they can't use (the alternator clearanced valve cover on the passenger side). just threw the second part in as a tip.
