"Will not fit cars with notch in valve cover by alternator. "

Actually, they will work, but you'll have to do some grinding.

If you want to see them on an LT1, go to my web site. There are 2 pictures in the upper left of the opening page of the engine (They may take a while to load). If you click on them, it will enlarge them.
I had to file the back of the alternator some to get them to clear, but it wasn't any big deal. I did it with a hand file.

I have the chrome GM w/ the bow tie emblems and ridged surface. I covered the end the pasenger's side valve cover, gave it a couple of "mod" raps w/ a wooden hammer and it fit perfectly. Not familiar w/ filing on an alternator. Mine's chrome so that would not be an option for me. The small endentation (looks just like the stock one) does NOT show or interfer w/ the valve train. The ones you are considering look great; go for it! Hope this helps!

LOL, you know I can't keep up with the fine features of this board.

Funny, too, your site is not available at the moment.
