A Valve cover breather that does not drip ??

Does anyone make a valve cover breather that does not drip all over the darn place??
I'm thinking of one that has an outer catch can surrounding the filter with a drain back hole..anyone make such a thing or am I just dreaming...tired of an oily mess on the passenger side of the motor.

If I can't find anything, I may try to just put the oil filler cap back on and run a hose from the breather tube to a PVC catch can setup rather than into the TB like stock.

First check your PCV valve and make sure its working. Then you might want to check for excessive blowby, causing high flow out of the breather.

What injuneer said. Check the pcv valve, all that water is boiling off in the crankcase and condensing on the outside of the valve cover. If its doing that there is insufficient flow through the pcv valve the motor should be breathing all of that in.

The PVC seems to be working, the check ball moves freely when I suck on it and there's plenty of oil that accumulates in the catch can. I did put a new PVC on it about 15k miles ago, and it had this issue before that. When I get the heads back on I'll have to zip tie a plastic bag on the breather and see if it gets sucked down and collaspes or if it expands out with blow by pressure.
This car has always had this problem even when it had 20k miles onit, has 110k on the rotating assembly now so it could be some blow by..however the heads are off it now and it still has the cross-hatch marks on the cylinder walls..maybe the reason for some blow by too if the rings aren't that tight and have never been. The LT4 truck has a tiny bit, but has never been enough to cause a mess and it has about 130k on it.

Does the car make a whole bunch of real short trips where the oil never gets up to temp really good? Another thing to check is the hose from the catch can into the intake manifold.

Not really, its about 7-8 blocks to the interstate, and any trip leads me to the interstate and at least a mile or 2 down the interstate, car is always up to op temp by the time I get to the interstate according to the data master.

That hose is off now since the intake is off the car at the moment but nothing appears wrong with it.
