Valve adjustment question

Just adjusted my valves, and they are a little noisy than they should be. I did a 1/2 turn preload on all of them. I probably should have gone 3/4. Is it ok to just pop the covers off and give all of them another 1/4 turn withoput having to bring each of them to top dead center, etc.?

Why not. I'd just do one side to see if it works. Using a thicker oil, if you are using a 5w-30 synthetic, might also quiet them down a hair, especially if you are are good an broken in---mucho miles. JMHO

You could do that. However, 1/2 turn should be enough to stop any noise from looseness.

I would double check and make sure you are following the procedure exactly.

Or as an alternative you could just do the engine running method.
