okay so how do i tell which numbers the vavles are i know e i i e e i i e
but which ones would be number 1 and 2 how could i count that?

 

at tdc 1 you adjust
intake: 1, 2, 5, 7
Exhaust: 1, 3, 4, 8

so how do you count them face the motor?

i just dont understand Intake: 1, 2, 5, 7 Exhaust: 1, 3, 4, 8
in tdc 1 so adjust intake on piston 1 2 5 and 7 pistons? and adjust exhaust on pistons 1,3 , 4, 8

so the intake valves 1 , 2 ,5 ,7
then exhaust valves 1,3,4,8

the numbers are stating which piston correct or is there a certain way to count all the valves

 

1,2,5,7, etc. refer to the cylinder numbers. When it says intake 1 ..., it means the intake valve on that cylinder.

 

When looking down on the driver's side, starting from the front of the head:

1E - 1I - 3I - 3E - 5E - 5I - 7I - 7E

When looking down on the passenger side, starting from the front of the head:

2E - 2I - 4I - 4E - 6E - 6I - 8I - 8E
