Vacuum pumps

When are they necessary to run one? My new buildup isn't super wild but would it be worth the cost.

Not recommended for street use,trailer queen's only.

No.
Due to it's sucking down ALL of the splash oiling at low RPM's. If ya want it wore out or blown with cam and piston problem's,in a few thousand miles,bolt one on. Then see if its worth the 8-12HP it provides after the next build.
