The vacuum line won't keep it from starting. Have you checked the basics (spark and fuel)?

Re: vaccume line on optispark?

all the vacuum line does is suck water out of the opti, making it last more than a month.

The vacuum lines primary purpose is to purge ozone gas, not to remove moisture.

Re: vaccume line on optispark?

but the car should start without them pluged up.
thanks guys i have one more question, i noticed where the coil wire plugs into the top of the opti (kinda under water pump) where the plug wire goes over the cap the there is a good sized chip out of the plastic cap could that be causeing my spark problem?
thanks again

Open the hood, in the dark, with the engine running, and look for arcing in that area.

Re: vaccume line on optispark?

While you are at it, make sure the vent/vacuum system for the Opti is hooked up correctly. As noted in the posts above, not having it connected will not prevent the Opti from functioning, but not having it connected can cause a shorter life for the Opti.

Shoebox has photos of the vacuum harness and the connection locations on his website. Compare against that info.
