v6-v8 swap, big connector under steering column that goes through the fire wall

How do you disconnect this thing? Its the BIG connector that comes through the firewall. How does it seperate?

Its the connector from the body harness that goes into the car for all the gauges and what not. As far as i know you have to splice into it or get the connector from the donnar car. Its a sealed box on the 2 that iv got.

My camera jus died. I'm lettin it charge alittle and i'll get a picture.

Thats a **** LOAD of splicing. like i said before, theres probly about 50 wires in there. I can't imagine splicing all them. No one that did the v6-v8 swap ever mentioned splicing wires. I have the harness from a donor car.

Do you even have to mess with that connector to do a V6-V8 swap? It's not part of the engine harness.

Shoebox has a great point. Your engine harness should just connect to the body harness at the connectors in the engine compartment.
