v6 to lt1 swap in side!

The engine came out real smooth, and my v8 is out of the other car.

Everything was going fine until i started taking out the main engine bay wiring harness. The one that runs from the PCM, over the passenger strut tower, under the upper radiator suport, into the ABS unit, and into the passenger compartment. IT is then connected to the interior fuse box, and other things.

What the hell am i supposed to do here? Do i have to disconnect everything on the interior side of the fire wall? The one HUGE connector does not seem to seperate?

I ran into the same issue. I am an aviation Electrician by trade so it was to over welming for me. But you can either take your wires off the back of the fuse block or do it the easy way I don't no your skill level so i wont say anything bad either. But anyway leave you enough to splice the wiring back together but label each end where you are going to cut. label anything you want is the beauty as long as it makes since to you since you are doing the work. but usually the wiring is color coded so look in your haynes book and make sure your donor harness is the same so you don't get confused and then dig in. i would go wire for wire until you are sure you are headed in the right direction

I really haven't heard of people talk about changing the body harness when doing a swap. There might be a couple of wires you have to change/re-route or add (depending on year), but I don't recall anyone saying anything about replacing the whole harness. The engine harness is obviously the main thing.
