Yes it would work, I would do the zero plus 1/4 turn to get it started. Then once it warms up and then cools off a little redo them if need be.

Having a more agressive lobe profile equates to a narrower base circle especially for small base circle camshafts. I'd much rather use that for a base adjustment and fine tune valve adjustment using the bump start method.

I will do it the 90* method from now on, adjust "X" cylinder and rotate 90* according to firing order....just hard on my old arms with the 30 inch pull handle on the crank bolt LOL.

Why not do the bump start method with a remote trigger switch? I use that now and will never go back to manually turning the crank unless I have to.

How much do those remote trigger switches go for? I get tired of getting under the car and turning the crank.

Maybe $10... You should be able to pick one up at any parts store.

I am gonna go check O'Reilys this weekend and see if they have one. Or actually screw that. I just need to find a push button that can handle 12 volts and hard wire it in like some of you guys have done. Also wanna put some kinda switch going to a starter wire so I can flip it from inside the car and no one can crank my car to steal it. Since I have 4 cars right now I can only afford liabilty only on them considering I am 23 and work at a hobby shop, lol. Brad
