I have a set of rims and tires that a friend wants to buy. I told him I'd ask here what they are worth, and then we'd talk again.

The rims are the stock 1995 Pontiac 5-spoke, silver-painted rims that came with the car (95 TA). The tires are fairly new BF Goodrich G-Force KDWS 245/50 ZR-16. They have about 8000 miles on them and are in excellent shape. There are a couple of minor dings in the rims (normal wear and tear for 75,000 miles). The rims are all straight and true.

What do you think the combo is worth? What would the tires and rims go for separately?

The rims I'd say are worth $100-150. You can get four of them brand new from SLP for $200. Those tires go for $108 ea new on tire rack. Sounds like they are at least 25% worn so say $75 each for $300 total. I'd ask $400-$450 for the set. I sold my 97 Z rims in very good condition with kuhmo ecsta supra 712 tires ($84 ea new) with around 4-5k miles on them for $400 to someone here two years ago.
