I would get the Jet Hot Hooker LT's and a set of Pro Magnum 1.6rr's. I think with these two items you will see the most gain in performance and drivability. Go for it.

How much are TPIS's ported heads? most of the LT1 aftermarket places want almost 1500-2000 for their heads. If you are thinking about paying that much for parts i would recommend getting some heads from www.advancedinduction.com. Phil will do heads for 1k complete for his mild heads, or i would go with lloyd elliot. That way you could get the heads and the headers.

Stock LT1 Heads are good enough unless you plan the engine drastically. Just get a nice set of headers and a nice camshaft with 1.6rrr, and your money will be much better spent that way.

Personally I would go with both, heads and headers. If you can only afford to do one or the other I would go with the headers, since the better breathing heads would not do much for you if they could not exhaust what they took in.

Then again, if you only go with the headers, you will just have to take them off again 2 months down the road when you put the new heads on all in the name of more power!

Of course this is just my opinion based on hearsay and reading this forum.

It's been 5 weeks and my heads still aren't here

Get headers and 1.5 rockers. You should get a very good gain with those two items.
