Any accesory Load causes gauges to jump

Ok here is whats happening. I'm driving along and I hit the brake pedal the slightest bit the check gauges light comes on and all my gauges and pretty much anything that is powered like stereo and headlights dim and the radar detector will restart. But if I hold on the brake then it only does it at first and thengoes back to normal like nothing happened. It seems like a short to me but it does with turning the headlights on too. Also it only happens if Im going over ten miles an hour and it was an intermittent problem, but now it does it alot more Thanks for the help in advance.

Sounds like a ground problem. Might want to check all your brake bulbs and sockets and well as any exposed wiring anywhere to see if they are cut or chaffed.

Check battery and ground connections, alternator output and state of charge on the battery.
