Urgent plz help!!!
I have a 95 lt1 that got wrecked, so I bought a 94 lt1 shell , I swapped motor/tranny and etc. I had to swap the wiring harness due to the fact that the pevious owner had it carb so he cut all the wires that go to the motor, so I swapped my harness to the new shell, the only wires that I did not swap are the ones under the dash (A/C, OBD1 pin, radio, etc) So here is the problem my old lt1 was OBD1 PCm with OBD2 style pin, th shell is a OBD1 pin, so I bought a OBD2 to OBD1 pin adapter. When I hook up tunercats to the PCm it says Error No PCM read. ( I need to be able to get to the PCM to disable the VATS so I can start the car. Any Ideas? Thanks

The OBDII cable that connects to your PC must have 12vdc on pin 16 of the OBDII connector. Your 95 had this, but the 94 OBDI does not. Unless the OBDI -> OBDII pin adapter provided a means of getting 12vdc to pin 16.

Nope no wire on the converter.
Is it possible to swap the 16 pin port from the wrecked one onto the new car? Ive been lookin at shobox wirirng picture of the DLCs and I read that theres only like two or three wires that are needed to program/diagnose the PCM, and obviosuly two of the wires from the 16pin must go to 12vdc source on the car.

Re: Urgent plz help!!!
@Injuneer, I understand the pic but the cable coming from my laptop is the 16 pin and the port on the car is a 12pin. So its the other way around lol. Thanks for the fast reply guys.

Re: Urgent plz help!!!
I meannt ground from the 16 pin port?, obviously the cig lighter has its ground. Im guessing just hook up the ORG cable from the 16th pin to the positive side of ciglighter wire?
