Unsure of what to upgrade

I have a 95 z28 A4 w/slp loudmouth and a CAI. im unsure of anything else because I bought it not too long ago. However I'm at the point where I would like to make some power.

i've been looking into many different routes, and it seems theres SOOO many options, but it all boils down to how deep my pocket is. (of course, ) im looking for the best bang for the buck, with a goal of 450?? HP (Btw my car has 44k miles) and i dont want NOS.

A) heads and cam. Seems pretty popular. also not a bank buster.
B) 383 stroker kit. can get expensive, heard of the cars not running correctly after this as well. and its not like i have a ton of miles ( 44k on a 95?)
C) ehhh ... anything else

Any help would be appreciated. What would be your suggestions on upgrading the car? Thank you

I don't have a A4 but if i did my next mods would be

catback
Torque converter
gears

then headers

That should wake your car up alot especially after TC and gears.

Buddy you can all 3...A,B, and C and not get 450rwhp. From what you are saying about the 44k, the stroker is out of the question. For the stock 350 you're gonna need some supergood heads. Big cam, rockers, headers, huge stall torque converter amongst other stuff. You're gonna spend some bigs bucks to get 450 with a stock 350 without going with NOS or FI.

Well i know it would be super difficult but around 400... even high 380s would be fine.
like i said best bang for the buck, could you reccomend specific parts, ie cam, heads, etc

Dude there's tons of different combinations you can run. Your kinda vague on your goals aside from 450hp. That's why not much people has responded. What you should do is a lil research on this before you jump into it. You got a local shop or go to the track where you can check stuff out. Hang around the board a bit and read read read. You'll see some good set-ups that work.

Good luck my friend.

You need to get a set of headers next.

I'm not much further into my mods than you are, but here's my 2 cents
1. LongTube Headers
2. 3.73 gears and 2800-3200 stall
3. CC306 or XE 230/236 cam, well ported heads, RR's ..etc
That right there should get you around 380rwhp give or take, but you're going to need many things in the suspension department and some sticky tires to put the power to the ground. Also, better save about $2,000 for a 12 bolt sooner or later

it does not take an ungodly combination to pull 380-450RWHP...if your OK with 380-400, go with ported LT1 castings and a good cam like the XE230/'236. If you want closer to 450, go with well ported LT4's or AFR's and a big cam like a GM 847 or XE236/242.

If you want to go farther than that consider a 383 rebuild with lower compression (9.0:1 or so), good heads, blower/turbo cam and a supercharger or turbo setup. Your looking at somewhere around $10,000 to $15,000 or more for all that, but you should be able to easily pull 500-600RWHP out of it or more depending on boost.

Yes, I'm kind of vague but I let you know what I wish to achieve. I am in no way "new" to the car performance scene, but I wanted to know what seemed to give the best bang for the buck, hence me asking for specific parts. Thanks all who have replied

im looking for the same thing. So far all i have on my car is a cut out..

But i was looking at pulleys and CAI for my next mod. good or bad?

What is the best bang for buck mods tho to get the most power.. it doesnt have to be 450 or so just enough for the time being.. but wont LT headers give you problems with emission? and plus im going to have to pay for labor on everything so..

1st thing i'm doing as soon as i get 3500...

a kid at my university has it, and its the LOUDEST turbo ever.... sounds BAD ***

I PMed the kid, but he never replied to give me a ride in it, so i dunno how hard it would pull, but it sounds mean, and i'm sure with tuning, u'll hit 400hp or more

from that perf thing there...

from stock (14.8@94 yes its crappy time) to a 13.0@110 with 7psi

(these are on the gtech thing.. but the news ones are pretty accurate so i dunno)

def what i'm getting when i have $$$ tho

very easy to install too
