Unplugged my O2 sensors........
Back when I installed my Headers I made my own wire exstensions for the O2 sensors. Today I decided to unplug the O2's to see if it ran any better. I changed my break pads unplugged the sensors and took it for a ride. It runs alot better without the o2 sensors. Its just spinning (tires) way more than is use to. How safe is it to run without the O2's? I plan on ordering new O2 sensors and exstensions. Is unplugged O2's safe when using nitrous? Im thinking it will be ok. I would imagine it still stays pretty rich.

Re: Unplugged my O2 sensors........
Unplugging the O2s puts the car into open loop. You are not getting O2 feedback now so no fuel adjustments are being made based on O2 readings. Open loop also uses different air/fuel tables than closed loop.
If you are running nitrous i assume you will only spray at greater than 75% throttle. When throttle is over 75% the PCM uses power enrichment tables for the a/f ratio so it doesn't really matter if you are in open or closed loop at that point since PE mode is entirely different.
