On my 94 Trans Am, there is a 10 prong connector unhooked under the hood. You can only see it underneath. It runs into the same harness as the cooling fans. I cannot find what it connects to. The engine runs perfectly. I do have the ABS INOP light on and the headlight motors do not work (and dont sound like they even try)

Does anyone know what this connector is for? Thanks

I will try to get a pic asap. The connector is right underneath the Brake system if that helps anything. I will try my best to get a pic later today (sunday)

 

Is it long enough to reach to the area right behind the driver's side headlight? Theres a controller for the headlights that has a huge plug connecting into it. With a stock setup, the controller is mounted on the side of the air intake box. If your car has a CAI, the controller would have to be relocated. That connector wouldn't show up in Shoebox's photo, because only the Firebirds have it.

 

Ill put my money on the cruise control plug, its the only other thing in the cooling fan harness.

 

I had to run out of town, so I wont be able to get a pic for a couple days.

Cruise control makes sense, I forgot to mention that that doesnt work either.

That was my first guess, too. I don't have a Firebird, though, and don't know where the headlamp control module comes out.

 

so is the cruise control module located on the Firebird in the same place as the camaro?

 

Yes. On drivers side frame rail, just up from sway bar mounting bracket. You might have to pull the plastic splash gaurd to see it.

 

yeah Im pretty sure that my car doesnt even have one on it. Looks like I will be putting that on as well
