unhooked the fan switch.....

just put the stock 180 thermostat back in as well as un-wired the manual fan switch. it was wired into the blue wire (high speed fan) with those connector things from radio shack etc... now the s.e.s. light is still on and the fans wont even come on anymore, but if i turn on the a/c then that fan will work thought this was supposed to be easy lol. anybody have any ideas? i'm not good with electronics etc

How hot is the engine running? The stock PCM programming doesn't turn the low speed fans on until the coolant reaches 226*F.

Not all SES lights turn the fans on. Did you scan it to see why the SES light is on?
