Unhooked AIR for LT's, fans won't shut off

So now that my LT's are in, the AIR obviously won't hook up to them. Is there a free way I can fix the problem with my fans staying on constantly without having to take it to get it programmed? I just spent so much money on the headers, cat-back, and all that I don't need any more expenses for a bit.

Free, or fairly cheap way that is.

Make your own Manual fan switch looking at under 10 bucks to do, use your stock breakers, and if you dont use a breaker you switch will basically melt so its a must.

i made a manual fan switch as well but i don't know why your fans would be staying on after you put on long tubes??

But with the manual fan switch, do I hafta flip it on everytime I come to a stop light or something or will the fans automatically kick on when needed still?

And I talked to someone about it, and since the AIR system isn't hooker up to my headers, the PCM goes into diagnostic mode and the fans run full time. Dunno why, but it's happening, they never shut off.

How did you disconnect the AIR system? Since you have an OBD-I diagnostic system, you can just unplug the connector from the AIR pump, and tape the connector up. Then make sure the fuse in the circuit is good. With OBD-I, that should prevent the SES light and constant fans.

Are you sure you don't have some other problem? Did you have it scanned for codes?
