Uncatted y-pipe or?

I have the 96-97 SLP Shorties (1 3/4" primaries) but have the stock y-pipe with cats. Stainless works makes a catless y-pipe for it, but I have considering just getting Longtubes and going from there. Any ideas?

Im not worried about emissions, It doesnt take long to swap out y-pipes, and then Ill be good to go. By the way, Im getting rid of the Loudmouth, I never really liked it to be honest, and it seems a Hooker cat-back might do the trick, though it might be the cats that make it sound like crap.. I don't know.
