The PCM physically is the same but the program is different.

Yes, the differences are the maf tables due to different sensor size and the additional knock sensor on the b-body. If reflashed with an f-body tune it will run fine.

What's the difference in the MAF sizes? I know the f-bodies are 3.5" are the impala / caprice smaller?

Re: OBDI in 94-95 Impala Same as OBDI in F-bodys correct??

You could also use a pcm from a 94-5 Caprice sedan or wagon Roadmaster sedan or wagon, or Fleetwood even if the Caprice pcm is from a 4.3L V8 car yes V8 it is called an L99 and looks exactly like a LT1. These all use the same exact part number pcm as the f-body. The Impala for all practical purposes was just a TRIM package on a Caprice the mechanical differences are so small as to not be particularly important, they guys with Impalas don't like it when you say that though, truth hurts sometimes.

Thanks Dwayne, you hurt my feelings. As for the PCM as long as it is flashed for your setup it will work fine.

Look at the ET page that cam I bought from you is finally working right now that I bought some headers.

The b-body computers programming also differs in AC control fueling and spark it would run in an f-body but I wouldn't drive it.

Spoken like a Caprice owner with a case of Impala SS envy....

Nah I am not one for asthetics which the SS definetely has, hell after the deer hit I have not had the blue and silver nose painted red to match the rest of the car even that would cut into the mod budget. Been over why a Caprice fit my needs better in the past don't need to rehash them hear. I mostly just wanted to let guys know the variety of cars they can source pcms from and especially in the case of say a L99 Caprice you might just pay less for the same exact hardware.

Good to here Dwayne. How many miles have put on the ZZ3 since I sold it to you? I put 15k on it if my memory serves right.

Better than 30K since I put it in. If you look close that puts me at number two stock heads with aftermarket cam I have a few things up my sleeve going to shoot for 12s full weight before I start pulling stuff off. This was on 87 octane wonder what the bump to 93 will do for me?
