My car is throwing a code 16. What exactly is it and why is it throwing it? Could it be a bad opti? I just replaced it with a new one last night from GM..

 

That is, indeed, a low resolution code from the opti. I assume you have an OBD-I conversion? Make sure you check the opti electrical harness for corrosion.

 

Alright thanks, i will check that before i send the opti back. This is starting to tick me off, i have had that thing off 4 times in the last week... Oh and on top of that my OBD1 conversion won't connect to EDIT, Tried another PCM and it works just fine.
