Huge leak after oil change.....

I changed my oil a few minutes ago and put a new oil filter on. After completion, I cranked her up and I noticed a puddle of fluid developing under my car at a rapid rate. It looked like it was coming from up around the oil filter area.

*It only leaks when its running. I'm not kidding. Not one drop when its off. And when it does leak, it comes out extremely fast. It's like a 1-inch diameter stream of fluid. I'm 99% sure its oil.

Did you make sure that the gasket didn't stick to the block and you just put the new filter on? If you have two gaskets on there it would lead to that.

Probably a double oil filter gasket, check your old oil filter, is the gasket on it? If not remove your new oil filter and make sure there is only one gasket,

Re: Huge leak after oil change.....

There has been a very aggrivating end to this story. It turned out to be a PH25 filter in a PH30 box... Some ******* must have been switching them around. Anyway, no stuck gasket. It just crossed my mind, so I went and looked at the filter number on the actual filter. Sure enough...
