Ultra Z Induction
Ultra Z Induction
I am wanting to see pictures and get feedback on the Ultra Z Induction system. I already want this hood, but wouldnt mind adding the induction system also....seems much easier to get to the filter, and may give a tiny bit of better airflow with the straight flow design.
The SLP Ulta-Z setup uses the same airbox as the SLP Ram Air HO hood. Seems like the most direct route to the throttle body.....

yup, I decided on this hood the first day I saw it!!! It's sharp and does not have the Pontiac look. funniest thing I've seen recently was an 02 Z28 with a WS6 Ram Air Trans Am hood on his car. I love that hood on a TA but not on a Z28, what a waste.
well design doesnt look bad at all, definately easier access to the filter....only question is where is the damned MAF....no need for intake elbow, ha
and does the induction system come with all necessary plug ins....which i believe are IAT, and the little blue vavle (both in the intake elbow)
is anyone running this setup???

The MAF is directly behind the air filter. In the picture that is posted it is right behind the NOS lines and nozzles.
EDIT: Also another cool thing about it is that it frees up the space to put stuff where the old air box was. It’s big enough to put in another full sized battery. Not that you would. BTW I currently have this set up on my car. The SLP Ultra Z hood and functional “ram air” setup that is not the NOS. The picture is also not of my car.
