I would go with some flowmasters or spintech mufflers. I don't think the flows actually flow the best, but that is what the cutouts are for. The flowmasters are just for a sweet sound.

Yeah cause i've never heard a truck with flowmasters

its all in your own opinion. i have a friend with true duals run out the back with bullets and I think it sounds awesome. I also have a friend with true duals with bullets and turn downs in front of the rear axels and I think thats a little to loud for me, but what do i know I think some trucks sound great!

Are you kidding me? If you want a truck sound, slap a Borla on your car. Borla catbacks sound just like a dump truck. Borla adds a diesel type sound to your car.

Just because it's insanely loud doesn't mean it sounds like a truck. Have you ever heard Bullets in real life or just clips? I have never once had somebody tell me they sound bad or too loud or like a truck. All I ever have gotten is...

Dynomax Bullets

You are right about the Borla. But the Bullets sound like a truck to me too. And whoever said the thing about flowmasters on a truck, well yeah...you are right, but flowmasters on a truck, and flowmasters on a Camaro sound totally different.

I've heard every kind of exhaust out there for a Camaro - from true duals/bullets to true duals/flows to every kind of prefabbed catback. The true duals with flows sounded the best. I also liked the way my longtubes and random tech catback sounded, but it was a little to loud so I changed the muffler to a dynomax ultraflow.

How could this be true? Unless there are any sharp bends or runs more pipe than it would to the back?

With true duals, or what? My bud has a 98 Z28 w/ true dual Flowmaster 40's. Used an H-pipe. They had to bash up the bottom of the car to make them fit.

Exhaust mods in sig......oh yea, there is no restrictor plate on the Borla!! The car sounds like a dragster from idle to WOT!!! I LOVE IT!!!!

Yeah, what's wrong with Borla?

Besides some people can't afford it

I love mine, but would like trual duals to H-Pipe and side exits too.

When it comes to mufflers, SWEET THUNDER hands down

Dynomax rules.
Quiet at idle, screams at wot.

It's pretty hard to make an LT1 sound bad though, so you're good no matter what you buy, really.

I know a guy with a lt1 trans am who has hooker long tubes, true 2.5” duels, no cat and dynomax bullets. I was not impressed at all!! I thought if would scream over my exhaust, but it wasn‘t even close to mine. His sounded stock at idle but did have the deep sound when he hit the gas.

I just don't see how stuff like this is possible. You say that guy has LT headers, no cats, and dual bullets and it sounds stock at idle. I only have shorties, with no cats, and Bullets and you can tell right when I crank it up that it's not stock. My idle is insanely loud just considering that the car is just sitting still. What kinda pipe does he have? I have an X. I dunno how much of a difference that would make. But I also have turndowns and he may not. That may play a role in it as well I suppose.

Got any pics? How do you like the sound aside from the loudness?
