u-joint question

Can someone help me out here i am not finding what i am looking for searching. I need to change my u-joints in my 97 z28. I switched to a ls1 DS. Are these the same as the LT1? I have read where folks have used NAPA 447X and some using 1350 series joints. Thanks in advance.

Thats good to know, thanks. Is there a u-joint out there that is considered extreme duty, one better than other, geasable, etc.

You can just swap in the LS1 shaft. No u-joint change is needed.

Shoebox thanks for the response, I did as you mentioned a year or so ago when i did the ls1 DS swap from my LT1 steel DS. I know have a little play and rattle when I manually manipulate the end of the DS. I just need to know if the ls1 u-joint is the same as the Lt1 when i go to purchase.

Replacement u-joints that are greasable are actually not as strong as the non greasable ones, because they have to be hollowed out for the grease to travel within the joint body.

Choose which is more important. Strength or serviceability.

I will defer that to someone that has experience with them.
