Get Jet Hot LT headers. They rock, and are pretty good priced. You might have to wait a little for another batch to be done.

Personally I dont think its worth it. Just do it all separately. Get a good cam, little bigger than the hotcam, get some promags or crane 1.6 rollers, then send your heads to lloyd (i hear he does really good work for less money than most, nightrain66), and get your intake portmatched. Youll be pumping a lot more HP than with the lt4 kit, for less money probably, or about the same.

As for the headers, hookers are about the best you can do for performance, there are only 3 other manufacturers, FLP, Dynatech, and Jethot. Jethots are hookers slightly modified. Dynatech are FLPs without the ypipe and cats. FLPs are expensive, and if you dont need cats, pointless.

I too did the LT4 search. I decided on at Head Port/Polish with a Cam this Summer. The price will be about the same, but you will have a better package with tuning when it's installed. I'd vote for the personal head p/p with cam. Don't forget the timing chain when you do the swap.

Here goes:

1. CompCams promagnum 1.6 Self alilgning roller rockers 1302-16

2. Compcams Dual Valvesprings 987-16
3. CC retainers 730-16
4. CC spring seats 4771-16
5. CC locks 611-16
6. CC Xtreme energy camshaft (your choice but here are recommendations)

a. XE224/230= pretty small cam, you can hear it in the exhaust, but its not extremely lumpy, great down low torque for street use, dont have to rev to 6500 to get max HP, torque comes in at full strength around 2500rpms.
Specs: Int Dur 224, exh dur 230, int valve lift .535, exh valve lift .544 with 1.6 rockers, lobe separation angle 112*

b. XE230/236= bigger cam, very lumpy sound especially in a 350 with a shorter stroke. Probably higher numbers overall than the above, but the power band moves up in the R's a bit. You wont get your power untile maybe 3500, you get max hp around 6500, so you would have to rev your stock shortblock to its limits and beyond to get to the power. In my opinion this cam is best for 383 assemblies, or a rebuilt 350 or 355, only because you have to rev so high to get the power.
specs: dur 230/236, .544/.554 lift, 112 lsa

There are many more cams out there, but these in most peoples opinions are by far the best off the shelf cams. The best thing you can do though is to give combination motorsports a call, they can custom grind a cam to your exact specifications, and they also have kits with all the hardware I listed above.

As for heads and intake, there are hundreds of choices. GTP supposedly used to do great work. Lloyd like I said does great work from what I hear (and hes a board member so this means if he screws someone over everyone hears and he does not get business, which means he WILL do good work). Just do a search on head porting and you will find plenty of info.

Do a search for all threads started by cmotorsports.com and you will find a post on their cam/valvetrain kits, with prices.

Oh yeah, dont forget gooood tuning for either cam. Get a base tune from PCMforless.com and that will be good enough, you can tune it even more with tunercat or lt1edit to do even better. Best thing you can do is a dynotune, but that gets costly.

What do you guys think about the LT4 conversion if you have no good head porters around? It looks like a good no fuss replacement and pretty good power increase, yes/no? I was looking to get to 400-425 with this. Is that achievable?

You could go with the LT4 complete conversion kit, but you will get more power and better head flow for less to the same money. More power for the same money by doing it on your own.
