Turn signal problems

When you turn on the signal the light comes on and stay solid, it does not flash. If you move the arm up and down, the lights will flash. The light will also flash if you turn on the hazards. What does this sound like, could my flasher unit be out?

Same here, at first it was the driver side. I replaced the bulbs and worked great. Then My passenger side gave me trouble, since i decided to do all the bulbs; i ended up putting one in wrong on the pass. side and it fell off. I put it on right the and my turn signals worked normal. Chack your bulbs for any burnt out ones.

This happened to me as well, twice. Both times, my front turn signal bulb burnt out. easy enough to replace. If you manually flashed the bulb, the back ones would still blink accordingly - but the front ones were out.

Check if the front bulb doesn't flash ont he side that isn't blinking inside.

well for me even though just the drivers side wouldn't work and passenger side did work it was the flasher unit.
all bulbs were good. turn on hazard lights all flashes so i knew it wasn't bulbs or grounds.

recently just happened in my cavalier too and it was just a bulb.
