Tunning my LT1

what is the best self tuner i could buy and how much would i have to pay??? How would i go about tuning it myself??? Is there like a book to follow??

Tunercat and LT1 Edit are the only ones I know about for the LT1.

does lt1 edit scan for codes if soo, all i need is the Laptop, Lt1 Edit, and data cable?

Depends... is your car OBD-I (LT1_Edit for OBD-I includes pcmcomm scanning software) or OBD-II (LT1_Edit for OBD-II does not include scan software).

It really makes sense to add basic data about your car to your signature like the year, so people can anwer your questions.

Same for Quickss96.... we can assume from your screen name you have an OBD-II car, so that affects which software you can use.

sorry about that fred im changing it now makes sense though and yes its OBD1

Why not include the "OBD-I" in the signature too? That would be more useful than knowing you have a "(stock)" rear.
