i have a 94 z-28 just did a cc503 cam ,l/t headers o/r y pipe #30 injectors and such ....a friend of mine let me use his tunercats tuning setup so i could get a downloadable tune from pcmforless ...well i tuned the car with it and now i get a code 26 quad driver failure and a egr solenoid code when the egr was supposed to be tuned out . i look on the bin file and it is ...did the tune not go in or is this quad driver failure not allowing it to go in????? im stumped and if this is the wrong section im sorry

 

DTC 26 in a 93 covers all the devices driven by QDM #1 including the AIR pump relay circuit, the EGR solenoid and the EVAP solenoid. The fault could be caused by any one of those electrical circuits.

 

so it could be that the tune didnt take and thats why its there ?as my egr air and such are no longer on the car therefore not plugged in

 

DTC can aslo be a faulty QDM in the PCM, not just the circuits it drives.

 

On a 1994, DTC 26 is for the EVAP solenoid. The QDM failure is for 93s.

 

the code on the snap on scanner said quad driver 1 nothin about evap

 

If you have a 1994 computer, the scanner is wrong (common for scanners to give out generic or incorrect code explanations). Don't believe me? That's ok. You'll keep chasing your tail.

 

no i belive ya im just really aggrivated at the car lololol .i got another pcm as brian from pcmforless said it was that and sending it to him to get flashed **** this tunercat **** im done
