Tuning Before Mods

OK, finally after a little over 2 months I got my shiny new Pacesetter race LTs . I will install them sometime next month. I plan on mail ordering a tune from Madz28. My question is, can I fully tune (disabling all codes, etc.) the PCM before I install the headers? Thanks for replies.

Re: Tuning Before Mods

Yes you can. The only thing i would get before the tune is a 160ºF temp thermostat so he can pull more timing, and if you are doing gears get those to so he can adjust the speedometer for them. This is of course if the only mod you are doing is the headers. If you were doing roller rockers or head/cam then I'd say wait, or get the deal where you can have it retuned for cheap.

Good. I already have a 160 t-stat installed. It would be nice to here from Ion.
