Tuning Advice

I have been considering having a PCM tune to my 1995 Firehawk. The car is stock except K&N, LT4 KM, TBypass, and currently has only 31K miles on it. Which tunning would you recommend MAdz28 or PCMfor less? Please list advantage / gains / problems you have had with either. I also see that both offer pcm on exchange basis and the file thru email if i purchase the cable thru AKM. Other than the laptop/desktop is all i would need to purchase is the cable and upgraded file to upgrade the PCM tune? How error prone is the cable and connection? Also with this cable is there other free software (links) out their to scan the pcm for trouble codes?

Thanks In advance.

Re: Tuning Advice

They are both great tuners and you can't go wrong with either one. It's just that I've only used PCMForless and had great results.
I did the mail order pcm swap. Works perfect if you are in the middle of a major swap or rebuild.

Re: Tuning Advice

I just got off the phone with Ion (madz28.com), he has the best custermor service I've seen in any bussiness. The first time I had him tune my PCM I made a mistake and had him ship a extra PCM (once again MY mistake), he sent me the PCM I needed and did not charge me any shipping and I shipped him back the PCM I ordered by mistake. Problem solved; I should have had to pay shipping on both PCM's but he seen the honest mistake and cut me a break so it was no extra money outta my pocket. Who else would have done that?? That was about 6 months ago.

Now then, today I called him because once again I screwed up and sent my PCM to him and forgot to fill out a order sheet. I need my PCM quick for personal reasons so I called him up and we got it straightened out and I will have my PCM tomorrow. That is what I call excellent custermor sevice!! Thanks Ion, you'll always be the one with my PCM if you don't get tired of ALL MY mistakes LOL.

Also onemore thing to note, the reason I sent my PCM back was because I put 3.73's and bigger injectors in. The first tune the car ran GREAT!! Once again thanks Ion.

*EDIT* The reason I did not go the AKM cable route is because I have OBDII. I know I could have converted to OBDI but I have a big stall and have heard OBDI does not like stalls over 3000.

Re: Tuning Advice

Me and Bryan from pcmforless.com are doing a dyno day in Ohio in May.. If at all possible that would be a good bet.
