Tube connected to the intake - weird, please help!

I wanted to buy CAI, so I took a look around my old air intake. There is something very not right over here - just after the air box, but before the MAF there is a piece of tube. I've seen pictures of this part, but.. mine's got a rubber 'box' and a rubber tube (about 1/2" diameter) connected to it. Here is a modyfied picture to show you how it looks like:

I don't know where this tube ends and what it does, but maybe you'll give me some ideas what do do with it?

It's not the Doneky Dong, it's before the MAF!

And it's not IAT, it's still on the elbow.

Most likely the air pump. I have not seen a box like that on mine though. If its the air pump i think most CAI's have a connection for it. If not then just get a breather filter from autozone or something.

My SLP cai only has one tube fitting on it, I think it went to the AIR pump not positive though. Anyway I've since plugged it up since the AIR is gone. Here is a pic of it from SLP's site. You can kind of see the fitting right where the two tubes come together which is right before where it hooks to the MAF. I don't remember if the fitting in your picture was on my stock airbox but it doesn't look familiar, but then again it's been a long time since I looked at my stock airbox. Hope this helps
