Trying ot load PCM4Less, stuck, need help

I have a cable for the car and Brian emailed me the program for my car last week. I tried to load it Friday but couldn't. I followed the directions specifically but to no prevail. The problem is when I restart my computer after I made the boot disk, when it opens in Dos mode, the words say :
"Type flshread to copy your car's info to this disk or
type fl---- to load program." I can't remember exactly what it said but its close. I have no cursor available so where do I start typing? I typed the letters but they didn't show up and nothing happened and then the pc opened up with Windows. I tried several times but still the same thing. I emailed Bryan but haven't heard back yet. Can anyone shed some light on this?

I had trouble w/ the batch file that Brian provided. All I did was copy the flash program to disk along with the PCM file. I looked at how the batch file ran the flash program.. wrote that down.. deleted his batch file.. booted the laptop off the disk.. and then manually ran the flash program. It ran fine after that. Other than that.. the PCM tuning was great .

i think i know what youre talking about. sometimes his boot disk doesnt work all that great. easy solution is to simply boot the computer in DOS mode and open the files thru DOS directly. heres how you do it incase you dont know.

1. windows 95-98 allows you to reboot the computer up in DOS from the start box in the bottom left corner. just select reboot in DOS instead of shutdown or restart.

2. if you dont have that option then restart your computer and in about 5-10 sec. as its rebooting press the F8 key. this will open a window with a list of options. select DOS promot command or something like that. then type in A:\ to select the A drive...same procedure used in 1st option.

just remember...ALWAYS use flshread before flshprog!
