I push 800 flywheel HP through a pair of 3" pipes.

For the sake of ground clearance, and clearance around everything else (depending on how you are routing the pipes), I'd opt for dual 2.5". I'd be more concerned about the intake tract restrictions, which does generate vaccum on efficient H/C combos.

pick up some LT's. 2.5 or 3 inch would be plenty. It depends if its over the axle or a dump. Give more info please.

If you go to Ls1 tech and search True Duals you will find endless stuff. Like 25 pages of it. Pics, video's, etc. THe whole nine yards.

I have these on my car . . . .

I spent about $120 at a muffler shop having a pew pieces bent and welded but it sounds AWESOME and cost less than a good cat back and ORY while making a lot more power. I have about $400 in all of this getting the parts and installation.

My car was NOT lowered and there was still not much ground clearance.
