Question Dead battery?

Hello,
After sitting a month without being driven, I finally got a chance to take my 94 Z28 out for a drive. I turned the key and got nothing but a very fast ticking. I'm assuming it was the battery, so I tried to jump it to no avail. The battery was manufactured in Jan '07 according to the sticker on the top of it. Does it sound like the battery is dead? Could it explain a strange hesitation it used to get (especially when going around a corner) every now and then when it was running? Oddly enough, the battery had some water on top of it this morning when I attempted to jump it. It rained yesterday, but I'm at a bit of a loss as to how the water would have made it up and onto the battery with a closed hood and no driving. Thanks for any advice and help!

Might be no good, however, could be just drained. You will need to get it tested to see if it is any good. You won't be able to charge it by driving it.

Suggest you check all your connections and the battery terminals for corrosion includinng the red relay box.

Thanks Bubba, guess I'll just need to take it in somewhere. Could a failing battery cause the hesitation that I've been noticing? Or does it run strictly off the alternator when driving? Thanks again.
