true dual exhaust
Well what are your ultimate goals, do you want every once of power from your ride. Are you planning on some major mods? Many people get great power from shorty headers and catbacks, even with lots of add-ons. Do you need to pass emissions? I really like the sound of the true duals, gives it a mustang type sound--real muscle car sound. THe longtubes give up lots of ground clearance and the X doesn't fit great bcause of the torque arm. Its all fine until you come across speed bumps. I myself have learned to live with the cons so as to keep the pros of duals/longtubes. If you plan on lowering the car, don't go this route as you will be sorry, there are some that do, but they really sacrifice. I have 3.5 inches of ground clearance at the header collector. I also must stop at speed bumps in order to avoid scraping. The pros are you will gain lots more power and better sound.
Man, I'd kill for 3.5"!
I've got like 2" maaaaaybe, and it's caused by both my longtubes and my torque arm crossmember, but I'm also pretty lowered in the front.
In all honesty, I actually made a little more power through AS&M midlength headers with a 3" true dual setup over my longtubes with a 4" exhaust. I will admit though, the sound of the longtubes is awesome!
