trouble code 55: Fuel lean monitor

I tried the diagnostic area as well...

DTC 55 Fuel Lean Monitor
Here's the condition...car starts and drives fine...then let it sit for 5 minutes and it starts but idles really low (500 rpms) and it will stall if you give it gas...almost sounds like it's being choked for air...

It set a trouble code 55: Fuel lean monitor

what the hell would cause this? Fuel pump dying?

It's done this twice recently...if you let it sit for a half hour, it starts and runs fine...

I currently have a waterpump leak, and "of course" it's dripping on the opti...

Sound familiar to anyone?

/jc

Nobody replied? My car is doing the same thing. On short trips it's fine. If I drive for an hour or so, it will set three codes, 33,55, and 63. I can stop, let it cool off and the car runs fine, for awhile. If I'm crusing on the interstate, the light will come on and when I hit the brakes or change speed for a little bit, it will go out. When I maintain any speed it does this. I am going to put it on a laptop one day this week and see what's up.
