trouble code 41 and 48

Ok i have a question if i turn the to accesories does the check engine light have to go out or does it have to stay on? that is on a normal car no codes stored.
Now the car runs fine now after putting a new opti and a ICM. i checked for stored codes and it has code 41 and code 48. Could it be that they are just store???
What kind of problems would i have with does two codes???

Clear the codes with the scanner or pull the PCM BAT fuse for 30 secs. See if codes return.

Do what Rob suggested - clear the codes and see if they come back. If the SES light is on, it usually means the code is "active", not stored.

Since DTC 41 points to an "open" in the IC Module circuit, did you turn the key to on with the IC Module disconnected? Are you sure the connector is on tight?

DTC 48 indicates a problem with the MAF sensor cricuit. Are you sure the harness connector is on, and that no pins are damaged?

Injuneer my question about the SES light being on, when the car is turn on the light is no on, only when the key switch is in accessories.
Ok so i pulled the fuse. I plugged the scanner and it still had the codes. So i pulled the fuse again and then i start the car and scan threw with the scanner and found no codes.

Darn.... I could have sworn you wanted info about the codes. Sorry I provided the wrong info.

To answer the question you apparently asked, the dash warning lights, including the SES light should not turn on when you turn the key "back" to the "Accessory" position. It will stay on if you turn it to the "Run" position.
