Re: Tried to remove the radiator (with pics.), immediate help please!!

yes, finally l installed the newradiator.. damn, it was kinda hard for me, because l didnt have enough room to work relaxly.. but l did it..

l didnt repalce the thermostat, should do that too? if l dont do that what is gonna happen?

by the way l unbolt the water pump's cap and then l put it back and tight it so bad and it crack all over but no leak so far.. anybody sells just that cap (front of the water pump) or do l have to replace the WATERPUMP?

again, there is no leak from waterpump.
thanks..

Its called the thermostat housing and im sure you can get it by itself, It wont kill you not to replace the thermostat unless it is bad, but it doesnt hurt anything to replace it, just make sure you get one for a LT-1, its very different than a standard thermostat, and its like 12-15$ insted of 5-7.

If you mean the actual front part of the water pump i doubt you can get it from a dealer. I don't know why you would remove it to put a new radiator in but i don't think the water pump is considered a serviceable part so they probably don't sell individual peices. However, if that's the part you broke there is definately some people here that have one they removed to install their electric water pump. I have no idea what happened to mine or else i'd offer it.

Re: Tried to remove the radiator (with pics.), immediate help please!!

I work for autozone.

I would get all the parts you need from them like the higher priced more prone parts, radiator, water pump, distributor.

because.....

almost all out parts come with a LIFETIME warranty and we are not allowed to turn down a warranty cause of the nature of the part or if its in a "race car"

so id replace my optispark every 30K if it wasent a bithcchh to get to.
