so basically you guys are saying do it all at once and do it right? i think ill just get a set of long tubes and save for a full motor.instead of doin piece by piece any having mismatched parts.

what we are saying is that TF heads are not a good choice if you plan to rebuild later. The heads will not work with a sock short block and then a 383 later on. One or the other, take your pick.

Bang for the buck, I say cc306 or similar, cm 233/239 gm 847 and a set of LE1 heads and upgrade to 918 or PAC springs
